Luwangpokpa Trophy 2017


Eastern Sporting Union registered 60 runs win over Youth Welfare Club, Patsoi in the 1st MCA-T-20 Luwangpokpa Trophy 2017 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.

Eastern Sporting Union, after winning the toss decided to bat first, with Mihul topscoring 37 runs to post 157 runs for 9 wickets from 20 over. Shankar got 27 runs whle Balajit remain unbeaten with 19 runs.

Eastern bowler Rakesh Singh and Amitra bagged 2 wicket each while Surjit, Priyobrata fetch a wicket each.

In reply, Youth Welfare Club, Patsoi were dismissed cheaply for 97 runs for 8 wicket from 19.2 over. Amitra topscored with an unbeaten 39 runs while Marjit and Rakesh contributed 9 runs and 7 runs respectively.

Eastern bowler Herojit Singh, Premananda claimed 2 wicket each while Leishemba, Chitranjan Sharma and Shanker got 1 wicket each. Eastern player Mihul got the man of the match award for his 37 runs and 1 wicket haul.

In another match, SCCC Singjamei come up with 5 wicket victory over RRCC Churchandpur. RRCC Churchandpur rode on Hemcha who blasted an unbeaten 48 runs off 46 ball to give his team 113 runs for 9 wicket from 20 over. Devraj scored 22 runs.

Singjamei bowler Borish claimed a hattrick while Gilchrist took 2 wicket and Kishan fetch one wicket. In reply, SCCC Singjamei reached the target in 16.1 over losing 5 wicket in the process. Pranjit with 26 runs and Kishan with 25 runs were the major run getter for the victory.

Churchandpur bowler Elan got hold of 2 wicket while Momon and Hemcha fetch a wicket each. SCCC Singjamei bowler Borish fetch the man of the match award for his hattrick.
