State Open Football Tournament


IWSC Khumbong edge out AKSA Kwakta by 5-4 goals during a penalty shootout in the 7th Shaheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial State Open Football Tournament 2017 played at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.

Both team had an evenly fought match but Khumbong team drew the first blood when Mahesh ruffles the net in the 18 minute for the lead. However Kwakta push up theirs tempo and got the equaliser when Boboi struck in the 25 minute to level 1-1 goals during regulation time, needing the match to be decided by shot from penalty mark.

In the subsequent penalty kick, IWSC Khumbong converted four kick through Aboy, Romeo, I.Rakesh and Bikeshwor while AKSA Kwakta could push home three goal by Akhan, Boboi and Sagir Khan. IWSC Khumbong player I.Rakesh got a yellow card in the match.
