Police apprehends 16 over question leak


Manipur police cyber crime unit has apprehended 16 persons in connection with spreading of question paper for class XII physics paper through Whats App before the exam began.
The examination was scheduled at 10: 00 am on Wednesday and the question came viral on the social media at around 9: 20 am on the same day.
Following a complaint lodges by Dr. Maisnam Bidyasagar, secretary Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur in the evening for the leaked questions, the cyber crime unit of Manipur police acted immediately and cracked the cyber crime within 24 hours of lodging the complaint, additional superintendant of police Dr. S. Ibomcha told the reporters.
So far the police have apprehended the Admin of the WhatsApp group Tourangbam Tyson (26) of Patsoi Part I, Moirangthem Naocha (21) and Laishram Koireng Meite (24) of Terakhong awang Leikai, Bishnupur and Elagbam Musuk Meitei, organisation secretary of Democratic Students’ Alliance Manipur from Hiyanglam Makha Leikai of Bishnupur.
In addition 12 exam appearing students of Xtra Edge School, Millennium Institute of Science, Herbert School, HRD Academy, Ram Lal Paul Higher Secondary School and Advanced Public School were picked up.
Dr. S. Ibomcha said, the cyber crime unit has got full evidence of the source of leakage of the questions.
