Sangai Trophy Veteran Football Tournament 2017

FC Imphal,Kwakeithel hold on TBSFA Tabungkhok by 1-1 goals draw in the opening match of the 1st Sangai Trophy Veteran Football Tournament 2017 played at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.

Playing in a rain soaked outfield, both team had a luckless outing without a goal in the scoreline in the first thirty minute of play. However in resumption of the second half, N.Uttam Singh struck the opening goal for TBSFA team in the 38 minute for the lead. However FC Imphal fetch the equaliser through Th.Krishna Singh in injury time of 60 plus 2 minute to share a point each.

Referee Sh.Suresh Singh booked Rabinchandra, Surjit of TBSFA and Subol of FC Imphal for unsporting behaviour and reckless foul.

In tommorrow match, VSAI(A) will take on Sirti Chandel in the first match while FLAM will meet VSA Sora in the second match to be played at Pamyal Ground at Patsoi.

Imphal, Apr 23: Central Swimming Club, Wangkhei bagged the team champion title of the 33rd State Age Group Aquatic Championship 2017 held at Khuman Lampak Swimming Pool.

Central Swimming Club finished the championship with 12 gold, 9 silver and 6 bronze medals while Maharaj Garibniwas Memorial Club, Wangkhei took the runners up title with 8 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze medal and TYC Top got the third spot with 4 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze medals.
