Security forces recover large arms and ammunitions

A combined team of Heirok police and 54 BSF recovered large arms and ammunitions during a search operation at Salungpham Village and Nongpok Sekmei village Thoubal.
The arms and ammunitions recovered were five lathode shells, 28 live rounds of 7.62 mm pistol, five live rounds of point 38mm pistol, one live round of 5.56 mm pistol, five pieces of PEK weighing each 350gm, five pieces of safety fuse and 35 detonators.
The operation was carried out today early morning at 4:00 till 6: 30. An FIR was lodged and handed the recovered items to Heirok Police.

However, till the filing of this report there was no report of apprehending any person in connection to the episode.
