13th Governor’s Taekwondo Cup

United Taekwondo Academy bagged 25 medals to dominate the second day of the13th Governor’s Taekwondo Cup, Manipur 2017 at Indoor Stadium Khuman Lampak.

The United Taekwondo Academy have bagged 10 gold, 7 silver and 8 bronze medals to occupy the top slot among the 15 units in the tournament.

In the cadet boys U-37kg bout, L.Jilangamba of UTA beat Oscar Khumancha of Naoriya for the gold and silver medals while E.Bronson of UTA and Y.Tondonba of Khuyathong settle for the bronze medals. K.Nanaocha Devi of UTA also land on the gold in the senior girls U-67kg.
S.Lanjing Meitei of UTA claimed the gold beating A.Rishikanta of SAI RC for the silver in the senior boys U-58kg category. M.Sanahal of Khuyathong and M.Jamesbond of UTA fetch the bronze medals. In the senior girls U-49kg, Th.Inaobi Devi of UTA beat compatriots N.Jina Devi for the gold and silver medals while Babyta W of NSA and Pretna N of SAI RC collects the bronze medals.

National Sports Academy, Imphal bagged two gold medals with L.Lemba Meitei beating compatriots B.Shitaljit for gold and silver while Md.Badaruddin of Sora and Kh.Manking Meitei of HTA bags the bronze medals in the cadet boys U-53kg. The other gold medal for NSA was bagged by Rk.Reshika Devi beating K.Bajangshalu of CTI-S while H.Maheshori Devi of NSA and N.Nganbithoi Chanu of SAI RC fetch the bronze medals.

SAI RC also claimed two gold medals with E.Sanathoi Devi in the junior girls U-55kg and P.Dayarani Chanu in the junior girls U-44kg category.
