LOUSAL urges to handover PILs at High Court to CBI

Louee Shinmee Apunba Lup (LOUSAL) today staged a sit-in demonstration at Keishampat Leimajam Leikai urging thestat government to hand over the pending cases of public interest litigations (PIL) at the Manipur High Court to CBI.

Ahongshangbam Robopan, a member of LOUSAL said as soon as the new BJP led government takes office it had handed over the PIL against the Manipur Development Society (MDS) to the CBI. We are staging the sit-in appealing the government to hand over the remaining cases pending at the high court, said Robopan.

The other seven PILs are related to the departments of agriculture, fishery, minority and backward classes, social welfare, consumer affairs food and public distribution, and Lotak development authority (LDA), added Robopan.

We are ready to support the government’s effort to cleanse corruption from Manipur, said Ropoban.
