ILLIGAL TRUCKS SEIZED
Forest and Environment Minister Shri Th. Shyamkumar, yesterday, inspected the forest check post at Mantripukhri in Imphal West and seized around 10 trucks, illegally carrying stones and sands for not paying toll tax.
Shyamkumar also inspected the forest check post at Sekmai and Kanglatombi.
Shyamkumar said forest department has set a target to generate a revenue of Rs 100 crore annually and today’s inspection was a part of the target.
