ASSAM RIFLES CONTINUES ITS FIGHT AGAINST CANCER

In its initiative of fight against cancer, 11 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted an awareness programme on “Cancer-Causes and Precautions” at New Mongjang village near Moreh on 02 Jun 2017. The event received an active participation by 45 civilians including ladies and children from New Mongjang and nearby villages of Moreh Sub-Division. The aim of the programme was to make the local populace aware about various types of cancers, its effects both on the persons and their family and precautions to be taken. The Medical Officers also put special emphasis on avoiding various tobacco products and explained their ill effects. The villagers showed keen interest in the programme and many cancer related queries were clarified.
