Afrosh A Higher Secondary School beat Yourbung High School by a solitary goal to emerge victorious in the Imphal East District Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament 2017 played Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.

Afrosh A Higher Secondary team met stiff resistance from its opponent to render the first half goaless. However in just resumption of second half, Ajaruddin struck the all important goal in the 31 minute for the victory today. Afrosh players Luckychand and Telheiba got a yellow card in the match. With the win, Afrosh A Higher Secondary School will represent Imphal East in the State Level Subroto Mukherjee Tournament.

As for the U-14 boys, Unique Model Academy thrashed Covenant English School by 3-0 goals for the Imphal East District Subroto Mukherjee title and will represent Imphal East in the State Level as well. Sanamacha struck a hattrick for his team.

Sub Junior Boys: DSA Kakching hold on DSA Chandel by 2-2 goals in the 21st Sub-Junior Boys Inter District Football Tournament 2017 which got underway at Artificial Turf, Khuman Lampak. Jordan Ngarrow and Chinir Cleverson struck a goal each for Chandel while Kh.Abdul Rauf and N.Malemnganba fetch the equaliser for Kakching team.

Super Division: Chajing Inat Kanba Lup beat YWC Malon by 2-1 goals in the opening match of the 18th S.Birendra Singh Memorial Super Division Football League 2017 played at SKYC, Sekmai. L.Premjit Singh scored a brace for Chajing Inat team while the lone goal for YWC Malom was fetch by K.Tomba Singh.
