Kh.Sanjoy Singh started on with a winning note beating M.Modhusudon in the 2nd Kh.Ram Narayan Shastree Memorial State Level Open Chess Tournament 2017 organised by Juvenile Club along with Ram Narayan Shastree Memorial Trust under the aegis of MCA which got underway at Juvenile Club, Tera Sapam Leirak, Imphal West.
S.Premjit Singh also registered his win over Rk.Lenin to collect one full point. Along with the two, twenty four others players also posted theirs victories on the first day. Altogether fifty four players including a women are taking part in the tournament. N.Loken Singh and M.Ranjan Singh shared half a point each for a drawn game of the day.
