Biren Singh seeks cooperation to rehabilitate drug users

Chief minister Nongthombam Biren Singh has seeked support and cooperation from the clubs and people in saving youth from the jaws of death.

Reacting on the action taken up by a local club at Lilong by handing drug user youths including two women to police on July 1, Biren Singh has expressed his worry over the youths consuming drugs.

He said, the police, parents of the drug users and social welfare department had discussed to take the young drug users at rehabilitation centres and see if it would be fruitful. For this IG Ibomcha was appointed as nodal officer.

He appealed all to bring out drug users in every locality and take to the existing rehabilitation centres. “ Lets try to prohibit the spreading drug culture in the state. They are our Future”,  said the chief minister.

He was seeking public cooperation on his facebook post.
