Group Centre CRPF got the better of Western Sporting Club by 2-1 goals in the 24th L.Sangita Devi Memorial First Division Football League 2017 which resumed at SKYC ground, Sekmai today.
CRPF stole the show with an early input from Deepak Kumar Boro who ruffles the net in the 14 minute of play to dominate the first half play. In resumption, Western Sporting Club bounch back with N.Anand Singh fetching the equaliser in the 63 minute to level 1-1 goals. However K.Gladen Kom had the last laugh when he slammed home the winning goal in the 72 minute for the victory.
In another match, Wangoi Football Academy beat Youth Welfare Club, Langthabal by a solitary goal with Robert Singh hitting the winning note in the 47 minute for the victory.
Imphal East League
XI Star Sporting Club beat UPAA Kiyamgei by a solitary goal in the Maharajkumar Ghanendrajit Memorial Super Division Football League 2017 played at ABA ground, Khetrigao. The winning goal for XI Star was scored by W.Bisheshor in the 14 minute of play. UPAA Kiyamgei player Suresh Rai was sent off with a red card for reckless foul in the 45 plus three minute.
