People protests blast

Residents of Soibam Leikai Wankhei Khunou today protested against yesterday’s blast that injured four civilians.

The blast took place when an army vehicle was passing the Soibam Leikai road crossing area, yesterday morning.

People in the sit-in staged at Soibam Leikai blast site denouncing the blast demanded those who triggered the blast to clarify the reason and asserted to stop creating such terror in crowded areas in future.

President of Wangkhei Khunou Women Development Committee, Anoubam Shanti Devi said, “We want to know who and why the blast was all about and we can never accept blasting of bombs amid crowded area. Wangkhei Khunou has been a peceful locality but today we feel very sad to experience blast”.
