Gold smuggler apprehended with 25 gold biscuits

Assam Rifles today apprehended a gold smuggler with 25 gold biscuits at Khudengthabi vehicle check post.
The smuggler who was identified as Raju Muniyandi, 45, son of R.  Muniyandi, a resident of Moreh ward number 3, Tengnoupal disrict, was travelling from Moreh to Imphal in a van bearing registration number MN 01G 8270.
The 12 AR  found the gold biscuits concealed under the driver’s seat compartment. It was said the gold biscuits weighs 4.175 kgs approximately.
Raju was handed to superintendent of customs, Moreh along with the gold biscuits seized from his possession.
