Persons with disabilities were appreciated for they have the ability to perform more than the able people in different aspects, on the foundation day celebration of the Disabled Development Association Manipur.
Md Yunus Khan, secretary of DDAM reading out its annual report said able people are taking opportunities in taking up various programmes that are meant for the disables as we feel weak. Now the time has come to understand our ability, added Yunus Khan.
The function was attended by Dr. Jasowanta Sapam , advisor SPDPO Manipur , Md. Wahajudin, national awardee and advisor, DDAM , L . Amrendra Sharma national awardee , Paocilung Golmei advocate amd advisor DDAM , Puyam Surchandra Singh, president DDAM were attended.
Wahajuddin said we must encourage the DDAM members as they have performed many things which the able persons would be hard to conduct.
Jasowanta said the programmes taken up by the DDAM are all distinctive which are shown by its conduct.
Amerendra said human beings are the same and if we help each other there will not be any difficulties.
If people support DDAM we will be able to get our rights.
DDAM has been able to produce outstanding sports persons at the national and international level. If the government is more concern to it, we can bring more laurels for the motherland, added Surchandra.
The foundation day was celebrated at the head office of the associan at Sawombung Awang Leikai.
Achievements of disabled sports persons were encouraged displaying the medals bagged at different level championships.
