12 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) apprehended one drug smuggler carrying Heroin and Brown Sugar worth approx Rs 2.52 crores.
At around 11: 45 hours yesterday, a Maruti Van moving from Moreh to Imphal was stopped and checked at Check Post Khudengthabi, Tengnoupal District. On through checking, 282 grams of Heroin and 278 grams of Brown Sugar were recovered. The above recovered drugs along with apprehendee was handed over to Customs Authorities, Moreh.
