Imphal, September 6: The All Manipur Working Journalist Union (AMWJU) strongly condemns the brutal murder of Sr. Journalist and Social Activist Gauri Lankesh.
She was shot dead in front of her house at Rajarajeshwari Nagar Bengaluru on September 5 night.
A condolence meeting was held at Manipur Press Club, Imphal on Wednesday led by AMWJU President Wangkhemcha Shamjai and Secretary General, S. Nanda Singh.
The meeting observed 2 minutes silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul. The meeting further praed for his departed soul to rest in peace.
AMWJU expressed deep shock and sorrow on the sudden demise of Gauri. It further resolved to share the grief of the bereaved family.
