Imphal, September 7: Working journalist fraternity of Manipur today staged a sit- in condemning the killing of senior Journalist and social activist Gauri Lankesh.
The protesting journalist hold playcards embedded ‘Stop killing journalist’.
Gaouri was shot dead in front of her residence at Rajarajeshwari Nagar Bengaluru in the night of September 5.
A condolence meeting was held at Manipur Press Club, Imphal yesterday, led by AMWJU president Wangkhemcha Shamjai.
The meeting observed 2 minutes silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
The journalist expressed deep shock on the sudden demise of Gauri and shares the grief of the bereaved family.
