Six teachers suspended

Education Minister Thokchom Radheshyam Singh inspected school

Imphal, September 9:  Six school teachers of two schools were suspended yesterday following inspections as revealed by the education minster Thokchom Radheshyam of irregularities in some of the schools he had visited recently.

In a statement released by the education department  (schools)   stated the suspension of the teachers till further notification.

The Teachers were  Y. Irabot Singh, Md.  and Th. Jekendro Singh of Thoudam Wangma Taba Primary School, and Md. Tamijur Rahman, Sitara Begum, and Nilyma Khatun of Haoreibi Makha Leikai LP Madrassa.

The teachers of Haoreibi Makha Leikai Lower primary Madrassa were suspended for shifting of school in private building without the approval of higher authority, non reporting of the same and for not conducting regular classes as found during inspection by the officials of the Directorate of Education(S), Manipur.

The teachers of Thoudam Wangmataba Primary School were suspended for being absent without informing the concerned authority.

The suspension order issued by the department, yesterday, orders that during the period of suspension, the headquarters of these teachers should be ZEO Office, Thoubal and shall not leave the headquarters without obtaining previous permission of the undersigned.
