Imphal, September 13:  Asian Body Building Sport junior champion Laitonjam Rishikanta today received financial support and blessings from various quarters for his tour to Mongolia to represent India in the 9th World Body Building and Physique Sports Championship to be held in October at Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia.

He also got offers from Romi Bags Industries’ proprietor Khumbongmayum Dhanachandra who recently began producing 4, 000 school shoes per day. Dhanachandra said he has approached the champion to make him brand ambassador of the promising local industry.

Dhanchandra told Pothashang “I am happy to get the opportunity to support the Jewel at my level. He will be entitled as theambassador of my industry if he accepts.”

Rishikanta has today received a total of Rs 15, 000 each from La Renon Pharma, Ahemadabad and Zydus Cadila Healthcare Ltd., Ahmedabad, which were earlier assured by them and Rs. 5, 000 from the senior area sales manager Nephrology division Penacea Biotech Ltd. New Delhi, Kaushik Bhandari.

Anita Devi Area business manager, La Renon Pharma, Ahemadabad, SanjeebKalita, therapy manager, Zydus Nephrosciences and Parashar Bhowal, therapy manager, Zydus Cadila Healthcare Ltd. Ahmedabad along with Kaushik handed the sum to Rishikanta at Keishampat in Imphal.

The contributers wished Rishikanta all success and promised to support him in his future challanges.

Rishikanta championed in the ‘51st Asian Body Building Championship, 2017, Junior Mr Asia 70 kg + Open Gold’championship held this August 22-26 at Seol, Korea. This was his first international appearance. He has been selected to represent India in the 9th Word Body Building and Physique Sports Championship to be held in October at Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia. He will be contesting in the 75 kg + category (Junior Open).

‘Prosperous Manipur’, a civil society recently sought the people of Manipur to give moral and financial support. At least a sum of Rs. 2 lakh is required for the muscleman to participate in the coming world championship in Mongolia. Diet supplement is another issue for a body building contestant.
