Imphal, September 14: KLASA Keinou surprised Tiddim Road Athletic Union by a solitary goal in the 12th Manipur State League 2017 played at Artificial Turf, Khuman Lampak.

This is KLASA Keinou third straight victory, giving them a total of 9 point. It is worth mentioning that KLASA team had upset formidable teams including Neroca FC and Tiddim Road Athletic Union, to showered them rare praise from the spectators. Tiddim Road Athletic Union have 6 point from three matches.

The all-important goal for KLASA Keinou team was scored by Jerry Onesemas Pulamte in the 31 minute where Tiddim Road team no answer till the final whistle. KLASA player Clement Lalthuoisang and Tiddim Road Athletic Union player N.Borish got a yellow card in the match.

In another match, Southern Sporting Union hold on Muvanlai Athletics by 1-1 goals to share a point each. The first half proved to a stalemate but in the second half, Southern Sporting Union drew the first blood when N.Sushil Singh cracked the opening goal in the 48 minute for the lead.

However with persistant effort, Muvanlai Athletics fetch the equaliser with Haolengou Kipgen booting home in the 65 minute to level 1-1 goals till the final whistle. Muvanlai Athletics players L. Jonathan Ginthianlal, David Mangboi Lhungdim, Cleaven Hmar Ramnghak and Southern Sporting player L. Lamyanba Meitei were booked with a yellow card from referee K.Brojen.

Imphal West League: South Imphal Cultural Organisation, Lourembam Leikai emerged champion beating MTSU Malom 10-0 goals in the 7th K. Karnajit Singh Memorial Second Division Football League 2017 played at Loitang Khunou.

South Imphal Cultural Organisation finished with 16 point for the top spot and by virtue of the victory, have been promoted to First Division from next season.  P. Ronendro scored a hattrick while N.Jasobanta, L.Reamei scored two goals each, N. Manglem, Ng.Pacha and L.Sibaraj fetch a goal each.

In another match, Pamyal Patsoi hold on IWSC Khumbong by 2-2 goals. Kh.Chingkhei and T.Sekhar scored a goal each for Pamyal team while W. Pailot and Th. Khongsai fetch the equaliser for Khumbong team.
