Imphal, September 16: A hand grenade lobbed at a residential complex at Mantripukhri in Imphal East has injured four persons.
Unidentified miscreants lobbed the grenade at 5 pm today in the lawn of a five storey building of one Mukesh K. Sharma at Mantripukhri. The building is occupied by private companies staff for residential purpose. The injured persons were rushed to Raj Medicity hospital.
They were identified as Tapan Bardhan (50) son of Nadi Gopa Bardhan and Jafar Sekh (40) son of Ashiruddin Sekh, both from West Bengal, they are merchants; Bijoy Gogoi (49) son of D. Gogoi from Male Shanker Nagar, Tejpur Assam; and Chunchun Prasad (41) son of Shriram Naresh from Jharkhand.
Doctors say they are all of minor injuries.
