Fake Rs. 2, 000 note dealer arrested

Imphal, September 20: Police arrested one Rs. 2,000 fake notes dealer from Churchandpur yesterday night.

He was identified as Ginzakhup alias Akhup Vaiphei(75) son of late Neihao of IB road was arrested. Two fake 2000 notes were seized from his possession.

He admitted the police that he was trying to sell one fake 2000 note for 800 rupees. He also disclosed name of one lady who gave him these notes as Donkhanching Touthang alias Lamneiching (45) wife of  Jangthang Touthang of Geljang village and at present quarters of DIET head quarter Veng Churachandpur. When the police searched her house, It was found that she is arrested recently by NAB for possessing Heroine and presently in judicial custody.

The accused  Akhup Vaiphei was also found to be undergoing trial in similar case. A new case has been registered at Churachandpur police.
