AIWA India contestants taking out peace rally in Imphal

Imphal, November 6: Innovative Artists Welfare Association (IAWA) India, Manipur today took out a peace road rally in the heart of Imphal with the slogan “Lets voice together to end domestic violence and child abuse”

The rally was flagged off from Kangla Gate and winded up at Uripok, near Cheirap court complex.

Six selected Manipur contestants for Miss, Mrs and Mr AIWA India 2017 contest spearheaded the rally. The AIWA contest is scheduled to be held at Mumbai onDecember 4 and 9.

In the unmarried category Archana Konsam and  Naorem Tony Meitei will represent Manipur for Miss and Mr IAWA India titles respectively.  In the unmarried category Adafro Sylvia, Ashakiran Konsam will contest for Mrs IAWA India and Homen Mangsatabam, Thangbai Kiyalian, will represent Mr IAWA India.

During the rally they distributed leaflets to the people on the street as awareness campaign to stop domestic violence and crime against women, to encourage women empowerment and child abuse.

The Raj and BK Manipur Associate and Amar Cine Production, Mumbai  organised Mr., Miss and Mrs. IAWA India, Manipur contest for the first time in August to select the six contestants to participate in the grand finale at Mumbai.

They also asked for moral and financial support from the people for the contestants.
