Police aspirants caution 3-day general strike

Imphal, November 6: All Manipur Police Constable Male Civil Viva Voce Completed Candidate, 2016, 10 + 2 Fresh Batch” today cautioned the government to launch a three day general strike throughout the state demanding to immediately declare the test result conducted in 2016 for recruitment of constables.

The members of the aspiring police service candidates conducted a meeting at Manipur Press Club. It decided to impose general strike starting from 5 am ofNovember 10 to 5pm of November 13.

Chanambam Manichandra Sharma, general secretary of the fresh constable candidate body said, “The government has deaf ear to our appeal even if we gave a deadline of November 4 to declare our recruitment result. We have decided to launch general strike including road blockade by joining hands with the friends from the hill districts.”

As our chief minister frequently appeals all to meet him before launching any agitation we tried to meet him but failed, said Manichandra.

More than 6,000 candidates appeared in the tests that completed on December 5 last year for recruitment of 2052 police constable posts, added Manichandra.
