Imphal, November 13: Internationally acclaimed fashion designer of Manipur Robert Naorem showcased his collections designed on the weaves of different communities of Manipur at India fashion week at London, Olympia which was held on Saturday.
Naorem Robert participated the mega event with his beautiful collection of fabrics and cloths designed based on Meetei , Kuki , Tangkhul and Kabui . He showed his creativity and courage in presenting a beautiful composite Manipur and was presented a special appreciation award.
The crowd in the show gave huge applause t the Indian models when they walk the ramp amid the rhythm of Pena music.
Robert loves the culture of Manipur since early youth and has always dreamt of establishing a fashion academy in Imphal which was materialised after the setting up of Robert Naorem Studio Academy at Uripok, Imphal West, in September 2016. He groomed his fashion career in Bangalore and launched an academy there in 2008.
