Imphal, November 21, 2017: The second of 3-day classical solo dance cum music festival witnessed dances performed by three dancers and a table-flute duet musical performance.
The festival was launched yesterday at the open air auditorium of Government Dance College, Palace Gate, Imphal.
Moneyka Ningthoujam of Progressive Artistes Laboratory, O. Sonali Devi of Government Dance College and Sougrakpam. Bidyapati, alumna Government Dance College performed solo dances.
H. Lahari Sharma and B. Devkumar performed a composition of flute and tabla.
Moneyka has so far performed at the national and international stages including XIX Common Wealth Games. Bidyapati has so far performed at the 10th Surin International Folkore Festival held in Thailand at the international level. Sonali is persuing her Visharad 2nd year at Government Dance College and so far she had participated in inter-university youth festival.
Flute artistes Lahari Sharma and Tabla artiste Devkumar are presently serving as guest lecturers at Shri Shri Bal Mukunda Dev Music College.
