‘SPORTS & EDUCATION PLAYS A MAJOR ROLE FOR A DISCIPLINE LIFE’

Kangpokpi, December 27, 2017(DIPR): Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Smt. Nemcha Kipgen today inugurated the Annual Sports Cum Literary Meet organized by Kholep Youth Club, Kangpokpi at (L) Pu Jamdem Memorial Ground, Kangpokpi District.

Addressing the gatherings as Chief Guest, Minister Nemcha stresses on the importance of sports and education in shaping the youths for a more disciplined lifestyle. So, she encouraged the youngsters to take up sports as a hobby or professionally and at the same time concentrate on the studies and academics too.
As Manipur is a multi-ethnicity state, everyone speaks different language, dialect, and belong to different community, Minister Nemcha urged everyone to stand united as one to bring rapid development of our state.

Nemcha Kipgen also highlighted the various welfare programmes and schemes taken up under her departments – Social Welfare and Cooperation and calls upon everyone to avail the schemes and projects applicable for them and time and again assured that every deserving people’s right will not be curtailed.

She further lauded the people of Kholep village for their Clean Kholep, Green Kholep and Healthy Kholep campaign as cleanliness in the environment will fosters only developmental thinkings.

As part of the inaugural function, saplings were planted by Minister Nemcha and the dignitaries present today in support of Clean Kholep, Green Kholep and Healthy Kholep.

Dr. Ngamkhohao Haokip, Principal cum Administrator, Eklavya Model Residential School and Shri Hemkholun Haokip, Chairman, Kholep Village Authority graced this function as Guest of Honour and President respectively.
