Chinese Bombs seized ahead of India’s Republic Day

Imphal, January 23, 2018: Two Chinese made hand grenades hidden in a rice cooker were seized from a KCP cadre who was apprehended along with the bomb at the Indo-Myanmar border town Moreh.

The Tengnoupal police during Republic Day precautionary measures taken the KCP (Panthoi group) cadre was apprehended today at Moreh forest department gate. He was identified as Ph. Abdul Gafar, 30 son of Md. Qutab Ali of Pallak Hiyangthang, Imphal West.

Two Chinese hand grenades along with 2 detonators hidden in a new rice cooker were seized from his possession.  He disclosed the police that the grenades were handed over to him by his commander self-style Major Panthoi of KCP. A case has been registered against him at Moreh police station.
