NEMCHA KIPGEN INSPECTS ONGOING DEVELOPMENTAL PROJECTS

Kangpokpi, January 24, 2018(DIPR): Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Smt Nemcha Kipgen today inspected the ongoing developmental projects in and around Kangpokpi District. One such is the ongoing construction of Henu (Ema) Market at Kangpokpi District.

During the visit, Minister Nemcha, who is also the local MLA vehemently, instructed the concern people engaged in this project for the speedy completion of the market and instructed them to complete the Market latest by February of this year. She is optimistic that once this market are completed, it will provide a scope for many women in the district to improve their economic condition immensely and thus will further contribute in the development of the state, as a whole.

It may be mentioned that, as part of the ‘Go to the Hills’ campaign, the construction of this market was announced by Hon’ble Chief Minister N. Biren Singh during his visit in the district last year.

Minister Nemcha Kipgen also inspected the building construction for Block Resource Centres (BRCs) which is constructed under the Department of Education. The building is almost on the verge of completion. On completion, this centre will provide in-service training to school teachers which is also imparted with active role of the civil society, unaided schools and other establishments.
