Imphal, February 3, 2018 (DIPR): Deputy Chief Minister Shri Yumnam Joykumar Singh along with Education Minister Shri Thokchom Radheshyam today inspected two schools – Langol Ningthou Primary School and Wangdei Primary School located at Langol in Imphal West.
During the visit, the Ministerial team inspected the infrastructure development works being under taken by the Government to initiate the academic session as soon as possible. The Wangdei Primary School at Langol in Imphal West is constructed under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA). Deputy Chief Minister Yumnam Joykumar Singh on 20th April, 2017 laid the foundation stone of the school.
The Ministers’ also visited Langol Ningthou Primary School which was upgraded to Education Guarantee Scheme (EGS). Education Minister Th. Radheshyam said that it is also the responsibility of the localities and the School Managing Committee to take care of the school as their own property, so that, quality education is imparted to the children of Langol Area.
The Ministers also assured the people that all possible help will be extended from their side to improve the infrastructure of the school. The ZEOs also accompanied the visit.
