Letpao inspects dredging activities

Imphal, March 1, 2018 (DIPR): Water Resources & YAS Minister Shri Letpao Haokip, today, inspected the dredging activities being taken up on the Imphal River.

With an objective to finish up the dredging activity before the arrival of monsoon, the Minister and the top officials of the Department concerned inspected the banks of the Imphal River at Golapati, Minuthong and Kairang areas.

Commenting on the works that has been taken up, Shri Letpao said that this department is trying its best to ensure proper and uniform dredging on the most vulnerable section of the river.

The Minister instructed the officials concerned to continue the dredging in a well planned manner and instructed the contractors not to delay in picking up the piled up soil from the dredging.
