Biswajit attends Luira Phanit at Teinem village

Imphal, March 9, 2019 (DIPR): Works Minister Shri Thongam Biswajit Singh said that he will look to it that work on the 1.5 km long Link Road of Teinem Village in Ukhrul district is included in the work programme and work started by first week of April.

The Minister said this while attending Luira Phanit- seed sowing festival at the village today. He also assured to look into the demand of the village authority to black top the road connecting the village to Tolloi junction via Makuikong and ensured to start the work to improve riding quality of the Link Road between LM Sub-division to Ukhrul Headquarter with Ring Road by April first week.

In response to another appeal for an IVR Black topped link road from Teinem Village office to Harvatung via Makuikong, the Minister said he will look to it that the work is included in the approved programme and start work by April second or third week.

The Minister also highlighted several government schemes including Saubhagya, UJALA, PMAY(G), MNREGS, etc. He said that the State has set a target to provide electricity to all households of the State by December 2018.

The second day of the festival also witnessed several cultural dance and song performances.
