Three guns and ‘stolen’ vehicle recovered

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, February 9: A team of Thoubal police has recovered two double barrel guns and a single barrel gun with cartridges and one Activa scooter from a resident of Lilong, Thoubal.

The guns and the scooter were recovered during a cordon and search operation at Lilong Arapti Maning Leikai.

The items were found from the possession of Md. Niyamattulla , 60 son of (L) Md. Amalatula of Lilong Chaobok Mairenkhul. He was handed over to Lilong Police.

The search operation was conducted during 4:30 am to 6:45 am. The police team included women police force.

About 270 male and 200 female were verified during the search operation. The guns were recovered for failure to produce valid documents. The recovered white Activa possesses no registration number plate and it was suspected to have stolen.
