Woman caught with Heroin and Brown Sugar in cooker

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, March 12, 2018: In yet another incident of woman involvement in drug trafficking in the state security forces arrested a woman who was ferrying Heroin and Brown Sugar inside a rice cooker in Tengnoupal district.

The lady was identified as Mayengbam Ongbi Tombimacha Devi, 66 wife of late M. Madhumangol Singh resident of Nungoo Wangpokpi, Pangantabi Chingkha Leikai, Thoubal district.

She was apprehended by a team of Tengnoupal district police and 12 Assam Rifles yesterday afternoon.

Tombimacha was carrying the drugs containing cooker in a passenger van with registration number MN06 L 7859. The van was travelling from Moreh to Imphal. It was intercepted at motor vehicle check post Tengnoupal.

From her possession Heroin of 356 gm and Brown Sugar of 210 gm were seized.
