Biren checks preparations for Modi’s visit

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, March 13, 2018: Chief minister N. Biren Singh today inspected preparations at Luwangshangbam in Imphal East for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Manipur on March 16.

Biren Singh along with his officials oversaw preparations going on at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, where the Prime Minister would inaugurate/lay foundation stone of different projects and attend a public reception function.

He inspected NISU Ground, where a temporary helipad is being constructed for landing of PM’s helicopter. He also inspected the work progress of Civil Secretariat and Rani Gaidinliu Memorial Complex located at Mantripukhri.

The state government had identified around 14 projects for inauguration and foundation-laying by the Prime Minister, said the chief minister.

Reiterating that no incomplete project would be inaugurated, Biren Singh urged not to unnecessarily politicise the matter.
