Press for action against assaulting of teacher

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, March 13, 2018: Kekrupat Minuthong Development Committee (KMDC) Women wing, staged a sit-in at Kabo Leikai, Imphal demanding the state authority to take necessary action against the student who allegedly assaulted two women invigilator at Standard Robert Higher Secondary School, Canchipur on March 7.

Sajad Alam, student of Galaxy Institute of Science, Lilong is the student who assaulted the two lady teachers.

It was alleged that Sajad punched Laimayum Thoibi Devi, 42, wife of Naorem Sarat Singh from Kabo Leikai C.D.O Road, Minuthong and Nongmeikapam Bijyarani Devi, 45, wife of Konthoujam Chaoba Singh from Wahengbam Leikai who were on exam duty in room number 29 of the exam centre while using unfair means.

The protestors said Thoibi is still in panicky situation and appealed the concerned authority to take necessary action against the student so that students may not bother to repeat such incident in the future.
