Radhehsyam insugurates Tamenglong District sports complex

Imphal, March 14, 2018 (DIPR): Education, Labour & Employment Minister, Shri, Th. Radheshyam Singh today inaugurated the District Sports Complex, Tamenglong. He said the District Sports Complex should be utilized in the fullest to groom the young minds living in and around the district to become a good sports personality.
The District Sports Complex, Tamenglong is constructed under Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR). The minister was accompanied by local MLA Shri Samuel Jendai Kamei, PDA Chairman T. Robindro, DC Tamenglong Shri Armstrong Pame and concerned officials of various departments.
Games and sports play an important role in shaping the life of the children in becoming more discipline. However due to lack of facility many talents are lost without realizing their capability. Thus, he added that the newly inaugurated sports complex should become a platform for the young ones to fulfill their dream.
Giving assurance to the people Th. Radheshyam said that the incomplete projects will soon be completed. The requirement and need of the people will be consulted with the Chief Minister to improve the condition of the Tamenglong District, one of the poorest districts of the state.
Education Minister appealed to extend support in Digitization of Service books, as it would help in timely facilitation of benefits and to fulfilled promotional necessities of the employees of the Department of Education. Clarifying the steps taken up for Digitisation of Service Book, Th. Radheshyam said that the Service books will be collected by the officials of the Department from the respective ZEOs, keeping in mind the convenience of the employees. Once the scanning of the service books is completed, he said it will be returned to the concerned officials.
He informed the people that the lone Higher Secondary of the district is in the pipeline of upgrading to a Model School. Further, he added that certain schools are also being identified to promote into smart classrooms.
The Ministerial team also inaugurated the Pay & Use Toilet at Tamenglong Bazaar constructed from the MLA’s Local Fund.
