Kuki inn reopens after renovation

Imphal, March 29, 2018(DIPR): Kuki Inn, a popular public hall situated in Imphal, was re-opened today after renovation.

The re-opening ceremony was attended by YAS/Water Resources Minister Shri Letpao Haokip; TA & H and Fisheries Minister Shri N Kayisii and also by Shri C Doungel (former Minister) as the dignitaries.

Chief Guest Shri Kayisii cut the ribbon for re-opening of the Kuki Inn Compound, while Guest of Honour Shri Letpao Haokip re-opened the Kuki Inn Hall by cutting the ribbon.

Giving his speech, Shri Letpao appreciated the effort of his Cabinet colleague Minister Kayisii for taking a bold initiative in the renovation of the hall. He added that it was only through the fund provided by the TA Minister that the carrying out of the improvement work was possible.

Shri Kayisii, giving his chief guest speech, thanked all the donors who contributed assistances in the renovation work. The minister further added that even though the hall is named as ‘Kuki Inn’, all knows that the hall is not for only one specific community, but it caters to the need of all the communities and tribes of the state.

He added that it is high time that people, especially the tribal people, forget that they belong to different tribes such as Kuki or Naga and to think together as one to get avail of the government benefits collectively as tribal people only. Minister Kayisii also assured of more financial assistances for future improvement of Kuki Inn.
