Cultural team felicitated

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 5, 2018: The Manipuri cultural team which participated in the Indo-Bangla Manipuri Cultural festival 2018 held from March 29-31at Manipuri Cultural Complex, Bangladesh was felicitated today at Manipur Press Club by Patriotic Writers Forum (PAWF).

Secretary, PAWF, Rakesh Naorem said the festival was held for the first time to improve socio-economic and cultural relations with the Manipuris in Bangladesh. He asserted that assistance and support was asked by Manipuri Cultural Complex, Bangladesh to the state’s chief minister, revenue, art and culture minister, director of art and culture and India High Commission but received no positive response, therefore PAWF gave a helping hand.

MLA L. Susindro Meitei congratulated the team for representing the state and trying to unite the Manipuris spread across different states and countries. He said such get together can make the people united and hence Manipuri society march forward.

A total of 30 participants went to attend the festival led by patron member of the festival, S. Manaoton Singh.
