Health camp on World Kidney Day

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 21, 2018: World Kidney Day for this year was observed with a health check-up at Uchiwa High School, Imphal West, today.

It was organized by United Living Trust (Manipur House), Delhi in association with Hope Foundation, Siroy Lifescience Pvt. Ltd, Medilane Healthcare, INPECT Uchiwa, and Radio Loktak.

The main objective of this observation is to make general public specially housewives and adolescent girls to make aware of basic health and hygiene issues. A total of 500 people of various age groups were provided with medical consultation and free medicines were distributed after thorough health check-up.

Twent-one doctors having different specialities such as Gynea, Medicine, Psychiatry, ENT, Dentist, Paediatric, Orthology, and Surgery etc. along with 10 nurses and 20 individuals volunteered to make the event successful.

During the health camp, a short awareness session was also randomly conducted and doctors addressed on health and hygiene.
