AMSU’s rally to tribute of Khongjom war heroes

Imphal: All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) today took out a bike rally to mark the observation of Khongjom Day.

The rally was set off at Kangla in Imphal to reach Khongjom. The students of around 300 paid tribute to the brave warriors of the soil at Khongjom War Memorial Complex, Kheba Ching, Thoubal.

People from different parts of the state came to Khongjom to pay tribute.

“Are we still free within the free nation? In this juncture of hardships in the society the generation need to follow the steps taken by our forefathers,” said Manjit Sarangthem, president of the student body.

The day was also observed in the state at different levels.
