Dikho launches “Go To Village Mission” at Mao AC

Senapati, 1st March, 2018(DIPR):  ‘Go to Village Mission’ campaign, an outreach program of the Manipur government under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri. N. Biren Singh have been launched today at Punanamei, Song Song Sub-Division with Shri. L. Dikho, Minister PHED, Printing & Stationery as the Chief Guest and Shri. Th. Gopen Meitei, Commissioner(Water Resource & Minor Irrigation), Nodal Officer Senapati District(Go to Village) as the Guest of Honor.

Speaking in the Chief Guest Speech, Minister L. Dikho stated that the government of Manipur has been able to reach the people at the doorstep and bridged the gap among the communities of Manipur. He chose the Punanamei village to be the first in the ‘Go to Village mission‘  in his constituency. He also said the CM, Manipur is the man behind for initiating the mission such as ‘Go to Hill’ and now later ‘Go to Village’ which make closer with the people. He appeals the people to give active participation along with the government through keen awareness of government schemes and program.

At the Guest of Honour speech, Shri. Th. Gopen Meitei states that the mission is the innovative idea of the CM to reached the doorstep by providing government services. The State government is implementing various central sponsored and state funded scheme for the benefit of people so that it would reach to needy, he further added.

Various benefits and schemes under different department such as Fishery, DRDA, Sericulture, Social Welfare, Horticulture and TD were handed over to the beneficial by the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honor. 20 department stalls were also opened today.

The launch program of ‘Go to Village’ were attended by many DLOs, Chairman and Secretary of the village and many other dignitaries.
