Imphal, May 1, 2018 (DIPR): Senapati district joined the rest of the state in Khungang Chatse: Go to Villages Mission with the launching function held at Maopungdong playground today. The program was organised by District Administration, Senapati attended by the SDO/BDO, Tadubi and Willong Khullen, DLOs, SDSA officials, village leaders, women and youth leaders of the region. The main motive of this mission is to get first hand information from villagers and deliver different schemes to beneficiaries on the spot.
Speaking on the occasion as the Chief Guest, TA & Hills and Fisheries Minister N. Kayisii stated that the Govt. has taken initiatives to reach out to the people at their doorstep, bridge the gaps and ensure efficient delivery of services to eligible beneficiaries and redress their problems. It is a direct on-the-spot solution, on the same day without delay, he said. Under the program, every department of the government would set foot into the villages giving awareness to the people on the various Schemes and benefits including the means to avail them, the minister said.
Kayisii also asserted that the step is not the end but a beginning of the mission by the state government starting from this day onwards. He said that similar camps will be held in every DCC on every Tuesday wherein the Deputy Commissioner will work out on the time frame for covering all the DCC.
The minister today distributed wheel chairs, hearing aids , CMHT Cheque of Rs. 1500 per month, syntax , Direct Bank transfer(DBT) on various schemes like poultry , horticulture, agriculture, small scale industry and SHG to women society , fish feeds,old age pension scheme by Social Welfare dept. Sericulture kits , LPG gas connection , free text book from ZEO dept. , LED bulbs, under Unalaska scheme from MSPDCL, seeds from horticulture etc.
Kayisii also inspected the stalls put up for public convenience by agriculture department , Zonal Education dept. Directorate of Health Services , DSO , CAF & PD Senapati, sericulture dept. , SDO/BDO Tadubi ,department of labour, social welfare, handloom Handicrafts and Textiles, District Industry dept., Divisional Forest dept. etc .
Athem Muivah , IAS, Deputy Commissioner Senapati stated that the day is observed throughout the state to look into the difficulties and problems of the villagers. The DC told that the committee has being set up under the SDO/BDO of every block to collect the need of the people. SDO/BDO Tadubi in his welcome address said that Maopungdong village is a revenue village having a population of 3719 according to 2011 census, paying Hill house tax of 638 and having MGNREGS job card of 521.
