Radheshyam inaugurates Temple of Learning Degree College

Imphal, May 3, 2018 (DIPR): Education Minister Shri Thokchom Radheshyam said that that many students after clearing the 12^th standard either go outside the State or get admitted in the State colleges to pursue higher education. However many students are also fail to get admission in colleges either outside or in the State.

He stressed that there is a need for more colleges to come up in the State to enable the students to pursue higher education. Traditionally education has been given importance and within a family there is always a mentor guiding the youngster in pursuing education. The Minister was speaking as chief guest at the inauguration of the Temple of Learning Degree College, Canchipur.

Minister said that children should be let free to dream to become innovative and inspire them to achieve their goals in life. He further added that education starts from family and parents are the very first teacher for every individual. Life is the best school and experience the best teacher, he added.

 Pooja Elangbam the CSE AIR 81^st rank holder was also felicitated during the function. The students of the schools were honoured for their achievements and contributions in the society.

The function was attended by Director, College Development Council, Manipur University, Prof. Th. Ratan Singh, dignitaries, members of the Managing Committee, Temple Of Learning, teachers and students.
