Pothashang News Service: Imphal, May 13, 2018: Education minister Thokchom Radheshyam said a good relationship between all sections of people inhabiting in the state is a must for maintaining peace and communal harmony. He said that one should be hard working and should try to stay busy since an empty mind tends to incline towards negative thoughts.

The minister was speaking as the chief guest at the 18th Peace and Communal Harmony and AMACSDS (All Manipur Art and Culture and Sports Development Society) Awards organised by the held at Asha hall complex, North AOC. Awards were conferred to personalities from different walks of life who have been working for the uplifting the society and state.

He stressed that we human need to remain positive to bring a constructive change in the society. Further he added that one should try to follow the footsteps of Mother Teresa and Nelson Mandela who had sacrificed their life for the well being of the people. He appealed to the people to enrich oneself with positive feelings of love, peace and amity to bring development and progress in the society.

Chairman, pollution control board and khadi and village, MLA L. Radhakishore Singh said that human needs to think and work keeping in mind that the entire living and non-living creature thrives together. It is important that we learn to preserve and conserve our environment to maintain the harmony of nature.

The programme was attended by dignitaries, invitees and members of civil societies.
