Central pay scale in Manipur soon: Biren

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, May 19, 2018 : Chief minister Nongthongbam Biren Singh on Friday assured that the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission will be implemented in the state soon.
He said the state Cabinet is working out to pay the central pay scale to the employees.
Biren Singh was talking to the reporters at his secretariat.
Biren appealed the agitators to suspend the employees cease work strike. He said that he cannot tell the exact date of implementation of the scheme but the scale will be enjoyed by the state employees very soon.
He said despite of the strike the state mission “Go to Village” is made possible by the service of the employees. He urged the secretariat employees to refrain from the position to join the cease work strike.
As a part of the employees’ agitation for the central pay scale demand All Manipur Fisheries Employee’s union on Friday staged a sit-in.
An employee of the fishery department, Thoudam Sushila said the pay scale has already been implemented for the central employees including those in the state. For other states, their respective governments have announced to implement it.
The employees union affirms to support any kind of agitation imposed by JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO.
