Pothashang News Service: Imphal, May 26, 2018: Manipur Pradesh BJP hails Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah for progressing the country and Manipur with implementation of several scheme during four years of BJP led NDA government.
Manipur Pradesh BJP today celebrated ‘successful completion of four years of central government and one year completion of Manipur government’ at Imphal BJP office.
BJP Manipur Pradesh president Ksh Bhavananda said with the support of the people BJP has been able to root out previous Congress government. Now the country has changed with no corruption, ended policy-less regime and dynastic nature of politics after BJP came to power, said Bhavananda.
Modi can make decision courageously with demonetisation, surgical strikes and imposition of GST which the Congress fails. The corrupted country has now become fastest growing country.
Internal security has been improved, terrorism has been reduced improves relationship with the neighbouring countries, he added.
Chief minister N. Biren Singh said BJP will continue to rule in the country as well as in Manipur. “We are able to experience lot of developments in Manipur due to promising policies under the leadership of Prime Minister and BJP and people have increased their faith to BJP”, he added.
He said 5, 13, 359 hosehold in Manipur has been covered under Jan Dhan Yojna. Under Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana, loans amounting to Rs 476.71 crore have been sanctioned as on May 24. Under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Jojna, 48, 849 free LPG connections have been released in Manipur as on May 21.Under Khelo India-Boost to sports, National Sports University has been opened at Imphal. Ordinance for establishment of the university has been passed recently by the Union Cabinet, he added.
The maternity leave has been increased from 12 weeks to 26 weeks; 33 per cent women reservation in direct recruitment of police started besides health schemes that provide financial assistance upto Rs 2 lakh to the needy people, said the chief minister.
Imphal-Jiribam road is significantly improved with the approval of more than Rs 25, 000 crore for road projects. There is significant progress in the construction of Jiribam-Tupul-Imphal railway line with earmarked fund of Rs 9658 crore and NE Capitals railway linking programme with Rs 7,000 crore. The target is to realise rail link to Imphal by 2020, he said.
The chief minister also mentioned that the Rural Livelihood Mission has been launched in the state which aims at providing skill development training to 10, 518 youth by March end next year. The state government has also plan to train and place 32, 472 self-employed persons by 2020 and we also have a target of 5, 379 beneficiaries for assistance this year under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme, he added.
He said constructions of houses for the economically weaker people are being implemented in the state under Pradhan Mantri Awaj Yojana.
