Radheshyam encourages Moreh students

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, 8 June, 2018: Education minister Thokchom Radheshyam said appreciating the children for their achievement is very important to encourage them to perform better in future. He said Moreh being inhabited by 32 communities is like the mini Manipur, and growth of Moreh lies in the development of the young minds which can be achieved only through education.

The minister was speaking at the 2nd Felicitation Cum Prize Distribution Ceremony of the recently declared HSLC Examination, 2018 from different High School of Moreh and ACODAM Free Coaching Class organized by All Community development Organisation Moreh (ACODAM) at Kondong Lairembi Haraobung, Moreh. He said unfortunately Moreh faces certain issues and problems due to the ‘floating population’ that would come to the town for few days and leave. He stressed that these issues can only be solved with education, for education is the answer to all problems.

 He asserted that there is a need to emphasize for all round development rather than individual progress. He said inclusive growth is the most important for the development of the state as a whole.

Radhehsyam appealed to the people that the government schools are not for any individual but for all. It is, therefore, the duty of everyone to safeguard the schools and its infrastructure and stop encroaching to the school land boundaries. He asked the public to identify the drop out students for enrolling them again in school under the ‘Out Of School Programme’.  He said education is to sacrifice and carry out one’s duty, serve the people with dedication.

The programme was attended by the MLA 42 Tengnoupal A/C, D. K. Korungthang, MLA, Naoriya Pakhanglakpa A/C, Soibam Subashchandra, ADC members, community leaders, concern officials, teachers and students.
